Kilvan Magunje back from injury
GWERU Sports Club scrum-half Kilvan Magunje has recovered from a calf injury and is expected to play in the National Rugby League second round matches this weekend. Mangunje was out of action for a month, prior to the league taking a seven-week break, but he has recovered and has been training.
Gweru Sports Club chairman Zwelinkosi Mloiswa said they were glad to have some of their key players back.
“We have a good chance of starting with a win, we did not do too well in the first round of the NRL because some of our players were injured,” said Mloiswa.
“Our training has been going on well and we are happy to announce that Mangunje, who is one of our top players, is now back and has been attending the training sessions.
“We are playing Panthers, who are a good side, they defeated us in the first leg and they will be aiming at winning again but we are ready to play.”
